It's beautiful
I am confused by all the negative ratings. I think anyone who has experienced true heart break can appreciate this movie. This film showcased a beautiful love, the ups and downs, the hardships and choices that happen when two people share their love together, and then ultimately, the end. No it isn't your typically happy ending film, but the love between these two was special, and the relationship between these three girls, well it's what we all want. People in our corner, who support us, and hold us up when we need it.
With friends like these!
I loved the premise of this movie. Having such strong women support each other through some of the lows in life is truly what friendships especially women's friendships are about. I love Gina she's the reason I watched this film and Brittney Snow and when I saw Lakeith omgggggg done! Such an awesome cast. Yes it's a bit predictable, yes it's not full of a lot of surprises but aren't all romcoms somehow very similar. All of that is easily pushed aside and you can enjoy the story of this film. Plus the chemistry of the lead actors is so genuine you can tell they are friends outside the film. Last but not least the DIVERSITY!!! YESSS !!!! I loved it and encourage you to watch it.
It's a good movie idk wtf ppl are being overly critical
For people that bring up the drug culture it is actually in line with what is now for anyone who listens to popular music for the past 10 yrs aka pop music. The movie was good not great, but good. Perfect lounging around movie. Every movie isn't gonna be Oscar nominated, but some just feel good.... & this is one
Loved every minute of this
Maybe this movie is just not for everyone but especially towards women I think every girl who has had a broken heart and wants to watch a fun movie that feels very true to life will really enjoy this movie. I did.
Buckle up, Buttercup. This one is an emotional roller coaster.
I thoroughly enjoyed Someone Great from start to finish. This movie really captures the emotional turmoil of both break-ups and transitioning from 20's to 30's. The chemistry between the actors, both romantically linked and platonic, was excellent. I was emotionally invested in the cornerstone relationship and keenly felt the highs and lows in their romance revisited through flashbacks. I was actually very impressed with how seamless the flashbacks felt. It was true to life, as far as when you see or hear something that brings a memory to mind. I felt Jenny's crippling sadness at the end of an era: her 20's in NYC, her comfortable proximity to her oldest friends, and the recent end of her long-term relationship. Her present is so comfortable and the future so uncertain. Her friends drop everything to be with her. They felt fully realized as characters and not just plot devices to help Jenny's story along. Even small side characters were really fleshed out. I laughed, I cried, I experienced a large portion of the emotional spectrum. This movie is one of the best I've seen in the vein of romance, in a very long time. It was a love letter to anyone who has had to face major life changes and struggled to cope. I really enjoyed it and it will probably be a movie I revisit regularly.
