Heartwarming
Beautiful little Aussie film, I loved it! The two leads were incredibly watchable, the direction was spot on and the cinematography was gorgeous, could not keep my eyes off the screen. Hope this is a massive hit overseas and it leads the way for more Aussie produced films.
Loved It. Beautiful Aussie Film that touches your heart
Saw this with my family recently, it's not the type of film I'd usually watch but so glad I did. WE LOVED IT! Made us laugh, think but most of all made us think a little bit more about our situation/standing in life. Plenty of chuckles and we even had a few tears. Worth the watch!
Quirky, some funny bits, but questionable acting.
This is definitely overrated on IMDB. I'm assuming it's people who have worked on the film rating it a 10/10. For an Australian film, it was okay. It wasn't awful. There were some funny bits throughout the film that made me chuckle. I think the let down was definitely the acting. The lead character needs a lot of work. The writing was mediocre. There were some scenes that made me cringe, I couldn't tell if the makers were trying to be funny and failing or if it was intentionally satire, so I was a bit confused. It wasn't 'amazing'. But it was a nice piece of light entertainment for Australian standards. Something to watch in the back while you're preparing dinner.
