About the time they start to really get noticed, they realize there is a creature, that they have inadvertently put in harms way with all the attention they have been attracting to their rural mountain community. As their relationships fray, they hatch a half-baked plot to pull the biggest hoax yet to right their wrongs by deliberately getting caught in the act.

Could have been better but worth a watch
To start, don't expect nudity in this movie. It's a running joke. Not that 2 of the female leads aren't pretty, but that's the norm for many movies of this ilk. What sets this apart is some native American authenticity which somewhat plays into the plot, but the writing is so poor and the dialog so stilted as to lose that part of the plot. animation/CGI is a joke but to be expected for this budget. The two secondary Native American actors, the 'grandma' and 'police chief' are by far the most naturally funny (and with the best lines) that i honestly can say i laughed or chuckled at - and i tend to be a bit jaded. The FBI agents, the corporate guy, the pseudo photographer are painful and one-dimensional stereotypes, which help make this a grade C film. Sadly, it has possibilities. I wish the writer/director/editor had managed to find someone to double check their script and give the actors better lines. It's hard to tell if the acting was just poor or the script just made them look bad. All that said, I did not stop watching. I even enjoyed parts of it but suffered a bit from high expectations. Read this review, and a few of the other negative ones and then watch it. You might be surprised to also give it a "C". In summation, fun idea, a few good actors, a lot of bad actors, terrible script, cheap CGI, nice location, some authenticism.
Ahhhh, the "joys" of being and Independent Filmmaker...
Our little film has been out for a little over 2 weeks and our anti piracy firm has already reported taking down over 3,000 illegal sites. We were afraid this might happen to a film with NAKED in the title. FISHING tends not to provoke the same interest in the same ways. More unfortunately the little thieves also ratings bombed us... If you look at the 1 star reviews we have gotten, many of them are from oversees before the movie was available overseas and there appears to have been a bit of a pile on. IMDb doesn't appear to care our film was stolen then trashed so I recommend you take a look at the sites people actually purchase the film from if you want more accurate reviews. Sure, there are a few low reviews that are legit and all I can say is I don't like a lot of the films I see either. The difference is, I don't lurk in my Mom's basement exacting imagined retribution for my jealousies and frustrations on films that are not my taste. I enjoy movies, am happy to pay $4 for 2 hours of entertainment, and hope you do to. Claiming reviews are fake because a film doesn't speak to you in the way it did someone else is just stupid. You bet, I made this movie and LOVE it and as such I give it 10 stars. And why the hell not?! I would hope anyone willing to take risks and follow their passions is proud of their creation. Is it perfect? Of course not. Is it for everyone? Definitely not. Is it a 1 star? Please, any independent film that can make it as far as we have with all of the hurdles and hoops we have to jump through as an Indie is worthy of at least a few stars. Frankly, I'm thrilled enough people are proud of this movie we got several tens. And here's a little secret, I don't know who many of them came from. My Mom is not online. So, yes, absolutely, we encourage our friends, families, associates and fans to review our films favorably. That certainly doesn't make them "fake" reviews. And frankly, it's just common sense. We aren't buying any Super Bowl spots, guys. So, please, watch the film and give us as favorable a review as you can! Fishing Naked is a solid little movie and people are correct, we had approximately 5% of the budget we would have liked to have had to produce it. But that's great! It is a true Indie, folks. Not Searchlight, not Columbia, a true Indie. But don't take that as an excuse, just a reality that when you have 21 days to shoot a feature film in the woods, it is not going to look like the Avengers. And you embrace that. Fishing Naked has a different look, a different pace, a different perspective and it quite definitely is not for everyone. Fishing Naked was written and produced from a small town perspective and was never meant to have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish nor appeal to someone who has never been in the woods. If you don't get the film, it probably wasn't meant for you. Hint: The tourists are supposed to look a bit schlocky, contrived and over act... That's how you look to us when you visit our small communities on your holidays. I love the reviews that say this isn't a Hollywood film. The difference is I view that as a compliment. We didn't want it to be. I was thrilled to see one review say it took them an hour to figure out what was going to happen... and they turned it off... Oh well, you missed some fantastic moments. Must not get through many movies though. How many Super Hero films do you even get past the trailer before knowing the ending? I would like to close this with a thank you. Not to everyone who worked on the film but to everyone who has taken the time to watch it. I myself like about 50% of the movies I watch and know enough to stay away from the genres I don't care for. I am really proud of Fishing Naked and thrilled it is being watched and liked by thousands of people. And for those of you who are pleasantly surprised, AWESOME! You have my gratitude.
Must be some real perverts out there
I have never seen a movie with this spread in the reviews so I watched it for that reason. No, it's not a 10 but a pretty solid 8 especially for an Independent film. Nor have I seen many reviews as colorful as this guy Carl wrote earlier. I've got to admit I was almost more excited to see a movie as bad as he said this was as I was to watch a good movie. You know how sometimes a movie is so bad it is really entertaining? This wasn't it. All I can figure is the guy must not have gotten one of the parts, really hates someone associated with the film or is a complete pervert looking for more private time material and was disappointed. So here's the spoiler alert: No one in the film is ever shown naked, sorry Carl, plenty more on the inter web. Actually, I was a bit sorry because the two lead actresses are really hot. This was a pretty good movie. I had a much better time watching it than I thought I would. Kind of a chick flick but still enjoyable for those of us of the XY persuasion. But if you are looking for something to make those palms rosey, pass.
A fair review of the film
I watched this film with my family. My grandma laughed, my sister laughed, my mom laugh. This comedy reached a multi-generational audience. It's a cute film, with of course some hiccups, but that's to be expected when trying to do a film of this scale with an independent budget. With that being said, the cinematography was beautiful. You could tell the director spent a lot of money trying to give it a big budget feel. The acting was all great. Was especially surprised with some of the minor characters. My favorite scenes were with Grandma and Art, they brought a subtle realism to the movie. I'd say this film is like "Roger Rabbit meets Dude where's my Car meets Smoke Signals" If you're looking for a lighthearted film, that has heart, silly humor, and mischief; then go watch this film. If you're going to dissect every bit of it, be disappointed that there wasn't anyone actually naked, and watch it like it should be nominated for the Oscars; then I would say find a different film to watch. All in all for an independent comedy/romance, the filmmakers did a good job and I look forward to seeing what they can do in the future.

The reason i have given a 4 out of 10 is because despite it being very under under budget, It did have its charm. Its not as bad as some films that try being something they aren't I would like to see more from the director and the actors too! the story line was far from original but the splice of comedy was okay, which felt forced at the best of times,That said the grandma character was the only real comical part in it which did not feel forced, I felt from her that she wasn't trying she knew it would not turn out great (The Film) so she didn't put everything she had in it, but did put what she felt to be appropriate. I enjoyed most of the film around the 1 hour mark i switched it off because after when they went viral it was obvious what was going to happen. All Actors here have great potential. More money and they could become great. Also i did not enjoy the fake account posts of great reviewing, That did rope me in to watch it under false pretenses which was just down right wrong. You lost a star because of that! Just keep on going you have some ideas in this that could work out if given more money more time and opportunity I am new at reviewing and new on IMDb but this was ''okay'' any-who 4 star from me
